Black Lives Matter.
This phrase shouldn’t be controversial or even political, yet it is. Honestly, Black lives more than matter, they are valued, precious, worthy, beautiful and important.
It is beyond time for systemic racism to be dismantled. To truly help the Black community, we, White people, need to listen to what Black people are saying, understand their pain, suffering and frustration, acknowledge our white privilege, then we need to do the work.
Please don’t expect Black people to guide us and hold our hands through this; they are exhausted and are dealing with so much. It is up to each one of us to take accountability and do the work in order to stand with our Black brothers and sisters in unity, and more importantly, equality.

I am trying to be better. I will make mistakes. I will say the wrong things. But, I am learning. If I do or say something wrong, please let me know. I do not want to continue to be a part of the problem. I want to be a part of the solution. I hope you will join me.
Cheers!
