Yay! You’re getting married. The date is set, the guest list has been made and now it’s time to start planning all the little details for your special day including sending out save the dates.
A good wedding etiquette rule is to send out your save the dates at least 4-6 months before a local wedding and at least 6-12 months in advance of a destination wedding.
Be sure to follow your save the date cards with formal invitations at least 8 weeks before the wedding. Sending out timely save the date announcements that include both the date and location helps your guests plan to be a part of your special day.
